Who i am

I’m Marc Johnson—a 23-year U.S. Army (Retired) veteran, MBA graduate, Board Vice-Chair, and father.
I’m running for President of the Navajo Nation in 2026 because I believe we need leadership that shows up when it matters. We’ve waited long enough for jobs, housing, transparency, and accountability.
Through my experience on the board of a Navajo enterprise and my advanced training in business analytics, I know how to rebuild trust, empower chapters, and lead with truth, technology, and transparency.

My name is Marc Johnson. I’m running for President of the Navajo Nation in 2026, carrying forward a family legacy of service and leadership in Upper Fruitland, New Mexico.

My grandfather, Harvey Harwood Sr., and my uncle Hubert both from Upper Fruitland, served as land grazing member and chapter president, respectively.
My grandmother, Eleanor Harwood, dedicated her career to education at Nehnanezad Boarding School.
My father was a coal miner at Navajo Mine for 37 years.
My mother has taught 2nd and 3rd grade on the Reservation for 28+ years.🚸
My daughter, Jordan, is my inspiration—Harvard graduate, now an Executive Director with Austin FC major league soccer team. ⚽
